The main town of Vera is the primary commercial point in the area and all day to day amenities can be found here, including all manner of shops, a medical centre, pharmacy, an Iceland supermarket for British products as well as some very interesting historical buildings, including the Vera bullring which is one of the oldest in all of Spain.

The area is also a great base for golfers. There are 4 courses within a 15 minute radius, catering for all abilities. There is also a water park for the children (big and small!) just three minutes’ drive from the property and a Go-Kart track just on the outskirts of Garrucha. Vera is a coastal town, one of the largest towns in the immediate area which boasts a long stretch of beach as well as a golf course. Vera town has a long history spanning over 500 years, and is home to several historic attractions, including the church in the main square and the bullring. Vera town is home to an array of amenities, including several supermarket chains, an Iceland supermarket for English goods, a wide variety of shops, bars & restaurants of which Juan Moreno and Terraza Carmona are the more famous, garden centres, banks, a recently refurbished 24-hour health centre, pharmacies and a hugely busy weekly street market held every Saturday morning. The town is full of historical interest with the old church and bull ring. If fine dining in a delightful setting is your thing then take a look at the ´Teraza Carmona'.

Vera Playa is the coastal section of Vera, which is only a short 5 minute drive from the main town. The Vera Playa coastline stretches roughly 5km, with many bars, restaurants and beach bars, as well as a commercial centre and the AquaVera waterpark.

During the summer months, Vera Playa hosts a beautiful night market (from 6pm until midnight), located close to the Zimbali Playa Spa Hotel. Vera Playa is also home to one of the largest naturist communities in Europe. Approximately 1km of beach is earmarked for naturists and the surrounding communities and streets are also naturist friendly. This naturist area is found at the Northern end of Vera Playa.
