Los Lobos, translated as the wolves, is a typically Spanish village located at the foot of the Sierra Almagrera mountains. The village sits halfway between the main town of Cuevas del Almanzora and the coastal resort of San Juan de los Terreros. Los Lobos is situated just 5km inland from the Mediterranean coastline, with a population of approx. 500 people. The position of the village ensures dramatic views across the valley with the majestic Sierra Almagrera mountains as a backdrop. There is plenty to do in the area, including local walking clubs who use this area for established walks.
In Los Lobos village there are 3 local bars, medical centre, chemist, small church, general supermarket, petrol station and a new restaurant called La Fabrica with superb elevated views from its terrace. There are more amenities to be found in the nearby town of Cuevas Del Almanzora, including a municipal outdoor pool, a water sports centre (Lunar Cable Park) and the prestigious Desert Springs Golf Resort.
